Attached below are all of the components of the final multimodal project. The project required a blog post with a digital flier attached, a factsheet, a physical pamphlet and a presentation. Looking from top to bottom there is my PowerPoint presentation that I created, next is the factsheet, then the pamphlet and finally the blog with the digital flier attached.
This project seemed daunting at first, but once started it was actually quite enjoyable. It may have been due to the topic being something I was genuinely interested in, but once I started the project it was smooth sailing.
In order to adequately complete the assignment, I will need to understand the genre conventions of each type of media. From the pamphlet to the presentation I needed to follow the appropriate formatting and use of language for each type of media while also being cognizant of who the audience is and how best to communicate to them.
The revision process was a lot easier when compared to the other two major projects, there were a lot of minor grammatical fixes among other things (there is a typo on the pamphlet but due to issues with canvassing I cannot change it). Revising this project was mainly based on professor and peer feedback that I received during the presentation.
